About the Event
Christian counselors are seemingly caught between the Scylla and Charybdis of honoring restrictive ethical codes on value expression and the traditional dictates of their faith. Often this leads to zero sum clinical outcomes where counselor integrity is sacrificed at the altar of client autonomy, or vice versa. However, a reconsideration of the literature on value bracketing combined with Christian resources as found in the life of Christ offer a different way forward.
