Grant Agar is a practicum student with a strong academic foundation and a passion for helping others navigate life’s challenges. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy from Davidson College, where he developed a deep understanding of the human experience and the pursuit of meaning.

Dr. Mesimer is interested in working with people struggling with anxiety, depression, sexual and relational issues, spiritual formation, crises, academic concerns, life and career transitions, and grief. He also specializes in applying rich theological insight in a competent and therapeutic way.

I offer pre-marital counseling and marriage coaching to couples and walk alongside them to help them fulfill God's desgin for marriage. I also help men grow in freedom and in their relationships.

We have over 20 years of experience offering direction and guidance to couples and families, using counseling and coaching to come alongside individuals, pre-marrieds, and married couples.

My personal background is in firefighting, emergency management, and law. In counseling, I have had the true honor of working with folks from many walks of life and in various stages of life.

My goal is to provide a safe place for you to process life's difficulties and discover new ways of thinking, feeling, and relating.

I practice Christian-oriented counseling with an integrative approach. Through providing a safe and caring environment for clients to cultivate a healthier relationship with both God and others, I seek to hold in tension both spiritual and psychological truth.

I am a seasoned therapist who specializes in trauma. I also work as the Director of an MEd in Trauma-Informed Education. Finally, I work from a biblical worldview for those so interested.

My focus is to help adults navigate life transitions and work through grief. I enjoy helping people work toward spiritual and emotional wholeness in their lives to flourish and increase their joy.
